By accessing our website or purchasing from Ladies In Lab, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
All prices are listed in CAD unless otherwise specified.
Full payment must be received before any order is processed or released.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, including suspected fraudulent transactions.
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom-made or special-order items
- Rings made to order
- Personalized or engraved pieces
- Items purchased during promotional events (unless otherwise stated)
- Gift cards
To be eligible for a return or exchange:
- The item must be returned in the exact same condition as it was received.
- The item must be the original product purchased (verified by serial number, stone mapping, and internal identification).
- The item must not be worn, altered, resized, damaged, scratched, or tampered with.
- All original packaging, certificates, tags, boxes, and documentation must be included.
- The security tag (if applicable) must remain attached and untampered.
Ladies In Lab reserves the right to inspect and professionally assess all returned merchandise before approving a refund or exchange.
If the item shows any signs of wear, damage, substitution, stone switching, resizing, or alteration, the return will be denied and shipped back to the customer at their expense.
Returns that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted under any circumstance.
Exchanges are permitted only once per order and must meet all return eligibility requirements.
Price differences must be paid in full prior to shipment of the new item.
Return requests must be made within 15 days of receiving the item. 30 days during holiday season
Items must be shipped back within 48 hours of return approval.
We are not responsible for lost return shipments. Customers are required to use insured, trackable shipping.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.
Original shipping charges, insurance fees, custom duties, and transaction processing fees are non-refundable.
If payment was made via financing or third-party installment provider, refunds are subject to their terms.
Customers are responsible for confirming accurate ring sizing prior to purchase. Ladies in Lab is not liable for incorrect sizes provided by the customer. Resizing limitations depend on the design and may incur additional charges.
Chain & Bracelet Length Adjustments
Ladies in Lab offers length adjustments for chains, necklaces, and bracelets.
If additional links are required to increase the length of a piece, the customer will be charged for:
- The additional gold required
- Labour costs
- Any applicable diamond or stone costs
- Current market gold rate at the time of modification
Pricing for added links is based on the prevailing gold market rate and material costs at the time the service is requested.
If links are removed to shorten a bracelet or necklace, no credit or refund will be issued for the removed gold unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
All modifications must be performed by Ladies in Lab. Any third-party alterations void all warranty coverage.
Certain designs may not be eligible for length modification due to structural or design limitations.
Ladies in Lab offers ring resizing services where structurally and design-wise possible.
Resizing eligibility depends on:
- The ring design and setting
- The number and placement of diamonds or gemstones
- The amount of size adjustment required
- The structural integrity of the piece
Certain styles, including eternity bands, full diamond bands, intricate designs, or tension settings, may not be eligible for resizing.
Resizing fees may apply depending on the complexity of the adjustment and current gold market rates if additional gold is required.
Ladies in Lab is not responsible for incorrect sizing provided by the customer at the time of purchase.
All resizing must be performed by Ladies in Lab. Any resizing or modification completed by a third party immediately voids all warranty coverage.
Resizing Requiring Additional Gold
If a ring resizing requires additional gold to increase the size, an additional charge will apply.
All added gold, materials, and labour costs will be calculated based on the current market gold rate at the time the resizing service is requested.
Resizing fees will vary depending on the amount of size adjustment and the design of the ring.
Ladies in Lab reserves the right to determine whether a ring can be safely resized and to quote pricing accordingly prior to proceeding.
Fraud Prevention & Verification
To protect against fraud and product substitution:
- All high-value items are documented, photographed, weighed, and stone-mapped prior to shipment.
- Serial numbers and unique identifying markers are recorded.
- We reserve the right to deny any return suspected of stone switching or product substitution.
- Suspicious activity may be reported to authorities.
Ladies in Lab is not responsible for:
- Normal wear and tear
- Lost center stones
- Damage caused by improper care, impact, or third-party resizing
- Tarnishing due to chemical exposure
We strongly recommend jewelry insurance for all fine jewelry purchases
Gold & Market Price Fluctuation
Gold, diamonds, and precious metals are commodities subject to daily market fluctuations. As such, pricing is based on current market rates at the time of purchase.
Ladies In Lab does not guarantee future pricing on any item. If a customer wishes to reorder, remake, resize, duplicate, or modify a previously purchased item, the price will be recalculated based on the current gold rate and material costs at the time the new order is placed.
Previous invoices, quotes, or past purchase prices do not lock in or guarantee future pricing.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing without notice due to fluctuations in gold markets, diamond costs, supplier increases, tariffs, or economic conditions.
All custom-made, made-to-order, special-order, personalized, or engraved items are final sale.
Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled.
Design renderings, CAD approvals, stone selections, and size confirmations approved by the customer constitute final authorization to proceed.
Ladies In Lab is not responsible for:
- Changes in preference after approval
- Incorrect sizing provided by the customer
- Variations within normal industry tolerances
- Minor dimensional or stone placement differences
Completed custom pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable under all circumstances.

All pricing is based on current market rates at the time of purchase.
Diamond Bros & Co does not guarantee future pricing on any item. If a customer requests a reorder, remake, resize, modification, or duplicate of a previously purchased item, pricing will be recalculated based on:
- The current gold rate
- Current diamond and gemstone costs
- Labour and production costs at the time of the new order
Previous invoices, quotes, or past purchase prices do not lock in or guarantee future pricing.
Quotes are valid for 24 hours unless otherwise stated in writing.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time without notice.
Product Authenticity & Description
All jewelry sold by Ladies In Lab is accurately described to the best of our knowledge. Natural variations in diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals may occur.
All weights, dimensions, and carat sizes are approximate unless otherwise stated.
Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided.
We are not responsible for incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.
Stone Security & Resizing Services
Ladies in Labb stands behind the craftsmanship of our jewelry.
If a side stone becomes loose or falls out due to a manufacturing defect within a reasonable period after purchase, we will inspect the piece and, if determined to be a craftsmanship issue, repair or replace the stone at no cost to the customer.
Customers must notify us immediately if a stone appears loose. Continued wear after noticing a loose stone may result in additional damage and may void complimentary repair eligibility.
This coverage does not apply to:
- Damage caused by impact, pressure, or accidental force
- Normal wear and tear
- Bent or lifted prongs due to misuse
- Third-party resizing or repair
- Chemical exposure or improper care
We offer resizing services if the jewelry is sent back directly to Ladies in Lab for professional adjustment.
Resizing fees may apply depending on:
- The amount of size adjustment required
- The design and setting of the ring
- Current gold market rates
- Labour and material costs at the time of service
Certain designs (including eternity bands, full-set diamond bands, custom pieces, or intricate settings) may not be eligible for resizing.
Ladies in Lab is not responsible for damage resulting from resizing performed by third parties. Any third-party alterations void all warranty and service eligibility.
All pieces must be shipped back fully insured and trackable. Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Ladies in Lab proudly offers a complimentary Lifetime Warranty on workmanship for all fine jewelry purchased directly from us.
Under this warranty, we provide:
- Professional cleaning
- Polishing
- Basic resizing (where design permits)
- Engraving services
These services are complimentary when the item is returned directly to Ladies in Lab.
This Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by impact, accidental force, or misuse
- Excessive wear and tear
- Lost center stones
- Chemical damage
- Bent or broken prongs due to improper care
- Theft or loss
Ladies in Lab will not repair, replace, or take responsibility for damage caused by third-party jewelers.
If a piece has been resized, repaired, modified, or altered by another jeweler or service provider, all warranty coverage is immediately void.
We reserve the right to inspect all items before approving warranty service. Any repair outside of manufacturing defects may be subject to additional charges.
Important
All warranty services must be coordinated directly with Ladies in Lab. Items must be shipped insured and trackable if not delivered in person.
International Duties & Taxes Clause
Customers outside of Canada:
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees.
Force Majeure & Delay Disclaimer
Ladies in Lab shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier delays, material shortages, market volatility, shipping carrier disruptions, natural disasters, labor disputes, government actions, or customs delays.
All production and delivery timelines are estimates only and do not constitute a guarantee.
Ladies In Lab reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
